How to Reset the Gas Meter

If you cannot use the gas and the red lamp on the gas meter is flashing, the gas meter has cut off the supply of gas. If this happens, you can easily reset the meter yourself so you can use the gas again.
Click the type of gas meter installed to see the method for resetting the meter.

Warning-if You Smell Gas:

If you smell gas, open your windows and let the air circulate on its own; turn off the valve at the gas meter, as well as the valves to all gas appliances and contact the "Dedicated Gas Leak Center (TEL: 047-325-1049)". Do not touch any switches, such as to electrical appliances.

Gas Meter Reset Method (1.6 to 16 m³/h)

1 Turn off the gas to all gas appliances. Never fail to turn off outdoor gas appliances as well.
2 Take the cap off the reset button.
3 Press the reset button all the way in and then let it back out slowly. The red lamp will light and then start flashing.
4 Wait for 3 minutes without using the gas (During this time the meter checks to make sure there are no gas leaks.) If the flashing lamp goes out, the gas can be used again.

Note

If you forget to close a gas valve and/or turn off a gas appliance, go through the steps again to reset the meter.

If you did not forget to close the gas valves and/or turn off the gas appliances, there may be a gas leak, so please contact the "Dedicated Gas Leak Center (TEL: 047-325-1049)".
